One of my heroines reads fairy tales, which is purely me. I was thinking about this very thing with my current WIP, and wondering what reading would attract her, and I'm struggling with it because I think she might read differently than I, and maybe little for pleasure.

I have many a favourite old book - Jane Austen is one of my favorites, but also much older things - Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, The Consolation of Philosophy - my undergrad was classical/medieval literature (with a bit of later stuff thrown in) and I've never lost my taste for it.

Aw, you know that picture looks just like our Boo. We are like mirror pet families! But Boo is only 3 so we hope he'll be around for a long while yet.

Echo might adjust - Dreamer chases cats and rabbits obsessively, but when we brought Boo home she went crazy for a day or two and then just settled down.

Hugs on the loss of your Four Way Flasher cat...I'll give mine an extra kiss tonight. He'll give me the stink eye and tell me not to be so mushy, but he'll just have to deal.

Hello Jennie

I happened upon your website and blog about the Spiritual Memorial Service at Fairview Lawn Cemtery, and how our story touched you. My sister Nadine and I have been deeply moved and changed forever due to the overwhelming response from people around the world in honouring our grandfather Clifford Crease and the men of "Mackay-Bennett." And we appreciate from the bottoms of our hearts the wisdom our father, Jack Wilcox had in gifting Grampy's hand-written journal to the Nova Scotia Archives nearly 40 years ago. Thank you for your kind words.
Many blessings,
Rabia Wilcox and Nadine Wilcox

Happy Birthday, Jennie. You're just a puppy:) And Taurus is a lovely sign--stubbornness can be a good thing. Wishing you another 50 years of fun and accomplishment.

There was the time that a girl named Val leaned too close while telling off her best (I use the term loosely) friend. He leaned forward and kissed her. She hit him. It was glorious.

I don't know that I can pick one from books I've read, there are too many. But I can tell you my favourite one to write is in my upcoming June book. Like Naomi, Clara is an abuse victim and Ty is a bit of a bad boy. But he's soooo gentle with her. I loved writing that scene.

Jennie - I have *just* figured this out in the past few months, and it has made such a difference in my approach to editing my manuscript (no doubt will to the writing process as well). It's allowed me to really look at a scene and ask about what's going on and what it is adding to my overall story. I'm a pantser too!
