Dona Nobis Pacem… Blog Blast for Peace

peace 2015BLOG FOR PEACE 2015

I’m casting about for words here, unsure of what I have to add to this year’s Blog Blast for Peace. I don’t have any particular story to tell, any special inspiration except the caption that came to me when I chose this year’s photo: Peace blooms around us when it blooms within us.

Of course. Every ancient religion and every new-age guru tells us so, but it bears repeating in a world that is so busy that we don’t have, or make, time to know and make peace with ourselves, to refill our physical and emotional wells, figure out what we really believe about the Big Questions and see how we apply those beliefs in our lives.

Perhaps caring for ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually – whatever that means to each of us – is the best thing we can do for ourselves and our world. So I guess that’s my message this year: be good to yourself, take a little time for reflection.

Dona nobis pacem.
