I’m thrilled to share that I got an email yesterday saying that Tirgearr Publishing has accepted Trey McShannon’s story, To Capture The Sky. So Chelle’s twin brother will be following her back out into the wider world. Publication is tentatively set for early March.
As I’ve posted here before, Trey got me started on this crazy writing gig, and he’s had a special place in my heart ever since.
My heroes have always been cowboys. I grew up on my father’s Zane Grey and Louis L’Amour collection, and it’s no surprise that the character that came to me out of the blue one day ten years ago was a tall, dark-eyed loner with a deeply ingrained romantic streak and an affinity for Thoroughbred horses – another long-time interest of mine. The Colorado setting is a big part of Trey’s story, just as the Yorkshire Dales were a part of Chelle’s. I’ve always had a strong sense of place – I’m as attached to the landscape of my home province of Nova Scotia as my characters are to their surroundings.
Now I have to get my butt in the chair and finish the third book in this series. Meanwhile, stay tuned!
